TTIP – How the US crushed the cornerstone of EU climate change policy

http://truepublica.org.uk/eu/ttip-how-the-us-crushed-the-cornerstone-of-eu-climate-change-policy/

Quote:
How about this for a statement from Friends Of The Earth to put air traffic and its effects on the environment into perspective – “Air travel is the world’s fastest growing source of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, which cause climate change. Globally the world’s 16,000 commercial jet aircraft generate more than 600 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), the world’s major greenhouse gas, per year. Indeed aviation generates nearly as much CO2 annually as that from all human activities in Africa.”

It appears that the enormous pollution increase generated from aircraft activity is due to rapid industry growth which has been expanding at nearly two and half times average economic growth rates since 1960.

But of course, Exceptionistan doesn't want you to know this.

Texas cops joke on Facebook about Ebola-tainted meth and net one arrest

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/03/texas-cops-joke-on-facebook-about-ebola-tainted-meth-and-gain-one-arrest/

Quote:
A Central Texas police department issued a "breaking news alert" on Facebook, cautioning residents that meth and heroin in the Granite Shoals area "could be contaminated with the life-threatening disease Ebola." Last week's fake Facebook alert urged the public "NOT" to ingest those illicit drugs "until it has been properly checked for possible Ebola contamination" by the police department.

Believe it or not, it worked. Several meth heads brought their take in to be tested. Idiots1

You know, if you listen to the rhetoric about how we need to treat different people differently, IE: anyone not white and christian and AMERICAN! Then it does not sound too much different than late 1930's Germany. And look what that little ***** managed to stir up. Seems that fearmongers have gotten what they want to lead their version of america. When even the delegates wanted to put someone else up for the RNC, they were told they could not. They must vote this way. Straw polotics, straw leaders, straw government. So, yeah, who does rule America?
