I don't have any experience with fcitx. However, I use SCIM for inputting chinese characters and it seems to be working well in Antix. Maybe it will work for you too. It's very easy to set up.

I hope this helps.

lsdg:

If you want to try SCIM you need to install it using Synaptic. In Control Center - System - Manage Packages (enter your password when asked) and then search for scim and select the pinyin modules.

After it's loaded you will have to call up the program from a terminal type scim-setup and follow the instructions to set up simplified chinese input.

Here's a link with more information:

I hope it works for you.

For autostart try adding to icewm (or fluxbox) /.apps file

[app] (name=fcitx)

If that doesn't work then you probably need to add it to either to (icewm or fluxbox) .startup file or .xinitrc (but I don't knoew the syntax)

I am a novice. I also would like to ask a silly question, where`s the "apps"file.
Directly add the code is it
What a complex process, because I am in accordance with the Forum to add startup code to introduce / etc/X11/Xs.../95xinput, but still will not work. Startup code should be added to which file, how to prepare

Open the files app (rox-filer) and click on th eye icon to show the hidden files.
You will then see a fluxbox folder and in that folder a file called apps.
The same with startup.

.xinitrc is also a hidden file in your /home/username directory.

I don't know what exactly you should add to the startup file as I have never used fcitx.
Try a google search with fluxbox, fcitx and startup in it.

I added the first line to that /home/username/xinitrc
fcitx &
Now fcitx automatically started. But can not be used. I have to run the fcitx by terminal , and then run the software in a terminal(every one terminal), this software can only be used fcitx

I want to say ---If I run the software without the terminal then these softwares can not used by fcitx.
