Hi,

I have this problem with suddenly flickering of some elements visible on my screen. Then in the 'taskbar at the top' the desktop environmets keep scrolling from alpha to delta, right click popup windows come up and go, applications start up multiple times etc. I can not stop this. Sometimes I have to wait and it ends within a minute or so as a clear desktop. Other times I have to wait longer and once the I had to reboot by pushing the button.

As I do not have a clue about the reason  I do not know which information to add for the ones trying to help, so just ask what you need to know to help me.

Thanks,

Piedie

Xorg related?
Does it happen with all windowmanagers? what video card/driver?
I have an old Toshiba laptop that can not run windowmaker with antiX.
Strange as this is a debian wmaker version that makes no problems if
running Etch. The video card is an S3 savage.
I have tried using older wmaker versions, didnt help.
I think this must be Xorg related somehow.

I have had desktop scrolling deal happen on my laptop. It happens very rarely so I have not bothered to look into it much.

Hi,

I changed the monitor setting in Xconfig in the TAB monitor. I choose my brand Philips and model 105S. Then it changed frequencies Vertical and Horizontal. Haven't had any flickering till now. I will update you whenever they return or when it does not in a few days.

When I clicked a file to download it happened again. Just for a few seconds and then I had a crystal clear desktop. Browser closed. So the problem is not yet solved
O well, I was looking at desktop Delta. In Alpha the browser was there but the download screen was froozen to death
Piedie
