Hi folks, I can't save text-files on other mediums, I can't open it there and an "error" jumps to me. :? Remark: the old computer with "antix", (which I really like!)is not connected with the net. Meanwhile I searched around to find an solution, but I don't find it or can't understand it :( i know, saving can't be hard- but now I ask for help again, please.

Either a mount or permissions problem.

(Or maybe if they are formatted ntfs you need to use ntfs-3g).

Thank you both for answering!

The text of the error, when I try to open the old HDD, gives also an advice to "ntfs-g3":

"Could not mount... (HDD). Error opening 'dev/sda1': Permission denied.
Failed to mount 'dev/sda1' and the ntfs-g3 binary permissions, and the mounting user ID."

Then comes a link to "tuxera.com", for a download of the ntfs-g3 file.

Now I try to open the floppy disc. I find this error report:" Could not mount fdo, mount:/dev/fdo is not a valid block device"

Ho ho said the clown ... ...and I feel like an ox in the wood.

mount:/dev/fd0 is not a valid block device

Pasted that error message into google search
https://www.google.com/#q=mount:/dev/fdo+is+not+a+valid+block+device&*
and the #2 search result contains a solution (for floppy drive target device)
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1081430

visit desktopMenu }} antiX controlCentre}} Disks to find GUI utility apps for mounting/unmounting
and
you can view a related 8min video tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBLaevalf7Y

ps:
When you boot, press F1 and skim the helpdocs.
IIRC, you can use the bootscreen F4 dropdown selector to specify an automounting policy
(specified for the current boot session, or along with F8 Save, as a permanent policy)

Thanks for your tips, skidoo, and the "dolphin video" with it's explanation of "spacefm"- I could succesful mount it. My next step is to test your advicees for automounting the files during the boot process.
