I've been using Linux exclusively for several months now so I'm still in the learning process.
My main distro that I run on my desktop is PCLOS.
I just installed antiX to my laptop, a Compaq Armada E500, 40 gig HD, 256 meg ram, ATI Rage Mobility video card. I was shocked to see the video driver preinstalled. I've only ran across one other distro for a lower end machine that even had it and then was unable to shut the system down properly after it was installed. Havn't a clue why.
So far antiX has me impressed enough that I may make it my main system. Have to wait and see on that one as I'm also in the process of learning C++ and I saw no compiler for it in synaptic.
In any event, I now have something that can run on my laptop.
