Hello,
I used the cheat code "nogui" and booted to console, since that antix always boots to console even without the cheat code and I have to startx after logging in.
How do I enable slim again.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Try as root in a terminal
/etc/init.d/slim stop
/etc/init.d/slim start
Reboot, and cross your fingers. _________________ Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

Unfortunately it didn't work.
/etc/init.d/slim stop
sends back :
Stopping X display manager: slim not running (/var/run/slim.lock not found).
And : /etc/init.d/slim start
sends back
Starting X display manager: slim.
But when I reboot I still don't have slim enabled...

Check that nogui isn't in the grub/menu.lst.
See if /var/log/slim.log is large, if it is, delete it.
If above doesn't work, re-install slim. _________________ Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
