I found this on the Ubuntu forum.
It is cool, and it works. I have a livecd image (for VirtualBox) that has boot options antiX, TinyMe, Puppy and DSL.

I'm sure if you modify the script, you can add more distros. You could also put the final multicd.iso on a usb stick so you can easily boot a variety of livecds.

That looks neat, thanks! Am going to have to build myself a CD with it and see how it goes.

I just read the first page of this thread and it seems like the script is being updated all of the time to accommodate new versions of isos, new isos, etc. How easy is it to customize to suit your own list of isos? Does it provide a menu of choices when you finally make a cd?

Thanks.

john

EDIT
After reading a few pages, it looks like the script is under development; i.e., as users suggest distros to include, they usually become part of the script. So, it looks like it can be modified to include more distros if you study it carefully. Case in point, it sounds like anti made a cd with antix so other distros should be possible. I'm really starting to take an interest in this, but it looks like some of the distros I want are going through some development right now. I'm thinking of:

puppy, slitaz, dsl, nimblex, tinyme, systemrescue, the security one (forgot the name), slax, wolvix cub, goblinx (xfce only version), milax, deli (not sure if it's a livecd), austrumi, and gparted.

Some choices may be redundant, but it would be kinda cool to have all of the smaller distros on a couple of cds. Why not antix? Not sure yet. Maybe I'll keep it on it's own cd or with some system-type distros - kinda a linux toolkit. The choices seem endless.

Well, after reading some security and recovery articles from various sources, I decided on making possibly 2 cd's. I want the cd's to have recovery tools, security tools, and small distros that reside in memory. Here are my choices:

cd 1:
1. AntiX
2. SystemRescue
3. DSL

cd 2:
1. STD
2. INSERT
3. Parted Magic
4. Puppy

Note: RIP and IPcop looked interesting, but may be a bit out of my reach for right now.

I realize some tools may be redundant, but they all seem very useful. I may have to wait a bit to try this out as some distros seem like there may be an update in the near future. I still may make a disc of tiny distros just for fun (tinyme, goblinx, slitaz, wolvix, nimblex), but I'd rather have the recovery and diagonistic tools first.

Great idea. I may add one of these CDs to my collection at some point. Right now antiX has proven to be the best Live CD to have around. It is small enough that it does not take an unreasonable amount of time to load, yet I can use it remotely (with wireless capabilities) as a Live CD, and I have put it into service a couple of times when I have been installing new ISO images and I want to revamp GRUB, the partition order, and stuff like that. PCLinuxOS has come in handy, too, but antiX suits more of my needs.

I am interested in doing this too, but would like to use USB rather than a cd. Does anyone know of a script to prepare the USB stick for booting?

You may want to post that question on the ubuntu thread.
