My above post is for removal. If installed through your repositpories.

Post in next post

Code:
inxi -Fxzr
using the code tags in full editor button. That opens a new window and you will see the code button on the toolbar. Just copy and paste terminal readouts in between. It keeps me from having to clean up users posts here,

Next. First thing after a a install you should do is

Code:
sudo apt-get update

Next is

Code:
sudo updatedb

wait and let that finish <takes about a couple of minutes or less>

Now that that is done

Code:
apt-cache policy tor polipo

post that readout in your next post using code tags again. Like you did with the inxi readout.

Now do

Code:
locate tor

Post that to show members where that is installed.

Enough for now. Good luck. :)
