Exactly why we post these things.

Sidux says they have a fixed version. Anti, how can I tell apt to pull it from Sidux?

apt-get -t sidux ? or what?

Just add the sidux repos. I would recommend using the smxi script as well if your using sid.

Its already there, thanks Erie.

apt-get -t sidux install k3b worked to pull it from Sidux. A nice trick if there is something you want from Sidux.

apt-get install k3b/stable (or etch however you have it setup) would pull the version from Debian Stable.

You can substitute testing or unstable. Now next dist-upgrade would revert it back to the latest available unless you pin it.

I assume apt-get -t mepis would pull it from Mepis. Didn't try that one.
