I cannot install tkinter, python-tk for example is unknown under antix.

Got more info for us to work with? Like a link and and explanation of what you are trying to do?

What version of python-tk do you have installed. What is your sources.list? How about a inxi -Fxz report so we can see what you installed.

There is a python-tk package in jessie and stretch.

So you should be able to see it in synaptic or apt-get

I use python-tk with PySolFC, no problem downloading/installing here.

Did you do apt-get update, before trying to install it?
