KeyBoard Number Lock

Postby xToeCutter on Tue Jun 24, 2008 8:14 pm

My keyboard number lock has to be 'off' for the number pad to work. I am running antiX-kdelite dist-upgraded to Sid. I have seen a post about this at Debian Users, but no real fix. I dont know if it is xorg related or what. Anyone else have this problem?

I have not seen this issue but I use numlockx in my .fluxbox/startup file to turn on the number pad at boot. Maybe you have a conflict there. One turning it on and the other turning it off?

Try using erie's suggestion and if that doesn't fix things, then add "numlockx &" at the beginning of your .xinitrc file.

I purged Fluxbox. :) I use KDE. I do have that folder/file (.fluxbox/startup), but no numlockx option listed there.
