Wicd automatic connection to wireless router?

Postby howagood on Thu May 29, 2008 3:06 pm

I'm very pleased with overall performance of 7.2 on my somewhat antiquaited laptop (Thinkpad iSeries, circa 1998). I'm especially pleased with the fact that Wicd recognizes my wireless PCMCIA card and router signal.
However, it seems that I must perform the connection step manually. No big deal, but curious as to whether Wicd has an option to connect to a "default" wireless signal with no manual intervention.

Open up wicd and click on the arrow of your connection to expand. You should see a check box for automatically connect. check it!

Thanks, Eriefisher. I arrived indenpendently at the same solution while fussing with Wicd setup. Don't know why I didn't see the checkbox before.
