During the boot process, just before the login screen, there is a one-second flash of a light stipled screen. Don't know what that is, but it is obviously not intended and it makes antiX look somewhat unfinished.

That doesn't always happen (at least on my box).
It is due to the wallpaper used for slim login background not quite being loaded, maybe due to its size in Kbs.
The only way I see to avoid this is to remove the login screen wallpaper, and use a coloured background instead ie no wallpaper.

Added: I tried it with removing the background wallpaper and it looks pretty ugly. So I think a delay of a second (or less or nil) is acceptable.
