I am back....

Welcome to the antiX forum. Post here to say hello.

I am back....

..... not that I really left, but a few things have changed. My laptop died. Finally. So, I got a new ThinkPad from a very nice man on Craigslist. It is a tremendous improvement over the last laptop. I have 1.13Ghz CPU, 512 MB ram, and a DVD drive. I have never, ever, ever had such a nice computer. To complete it, I have installed antiX 7! I couldn't leave this fabulous distro behind! I love it. Though I am used to antiX 6.5, 7 is looking cuter... I think it'll work out. It is good to be in front on the monitor again and among friends. I've been deprived of a mechanical brain for three weeks now, and I was beginning to formulate a personality! Yikes!

So, I'll check posts to see what I've missed. (And, I'll try to get used to this weird nubby thing. Where the ef is the touch pad?!!)

XOXOX to all!

Glad to hear you got a new machine. The thumb stick (or nubby thing) does take some getting used to but after awhile you will become a pro. I had never used a Thinkpad before I had to at work and within a week it wasn't that bad. Welcome Back!
