Where do I go to set the default applications in IceWM? More specifically I'm trying to change the default file manager.

For launching the "default" file manager from the taskbar button, do control center > edit icewm settings > toolbar. Edit this line:

prog "Home Folder" folder rox

by changing rox to whatever file manager you want.

@kid86. Go to `/.icewm/toolbar or

Code:
cd /home/kid86<just a guess from me here as far as user name>/.icewm

then do

Code:
ls
to see what is listed their. I don't use icewm on this post but fluxbox instead

Code:
harry@bikertest2:~/.fluxbox
$ ls
applications  init  lastwallpaper  overlay   startup  windowmenu
apps          keys  menu           slitlist  styles

then

Code:
harry@bikertest2:~/.fluxbox
$ geany

to edit files.

Try copying the files from /usr/share/icewm to your /home/user/.icewm directory. Then edit the config files to your liking.
