WARNING: Method rred has died unexpectedly!

Postby anticapitalista on Wed Nov 04, 2009 12:23 pm

You may get this error with an apt-get update.
I got it in antiX-sid and antiX-testing.
Code: Select all
E: Method rred has died unexpectedly!
E: Sub-process rred received a segmentation fault.

Solution: # apt-get update -o Acquire::Pdiffs=false

I upgraded with smxi today and all went well (didn't receive this Pdiffs error).
antiX (Debian) now even has a splash screen but it didn't work for me (had to boot with nosplash option). Maybe it's just a matter of configuring somewhere.
