Hello. I bought a new laptop and just upgraded the hdd from 80 gig to 250 gig. Here's how I'm thinking of partitioning the hdd:
1. root ~10 gig
2. swap ~1 gig
3. home ~40 gig
4. files ~200 gig
Just as in windows, I see my "home" partition as a work space - temporary space for working on videos, ripping cds and dvds, copying cds and dvds, etc. I also will store .deb and other such files I've downloaded from the web, styles, walls, etc.
I see my "files" partition as the place to store ... my files: music, videos, game roms, pictures, etc.
How do you feel about it? I just installed the drive a few minutes ago and it is eagerly awaiting the installation of antix! Thanks.
john
