IceWeasel won't open to a blank page

Postby dieselbenz on Fri Oct 05, 2007 5:45 am

Even thought I have changed preferences (several times) to have IceWeasel open to a blank page, it keeps pulling up http://antix.mepis.com/index.php/Main_Page at start.

Is this a marketing ploy <grin> or a bug?

I don't think I'm doing anything incorrectly, since I'm running Firefox on four other systems and have them sit to open to the blank page.

from the menu navigate Fluxbox > File Editing > Menu
look for [exec] (Browser) {Iceweasel http://antix.mepis.com}
remove http://antix.mepis.com
save
exit

Open Iceweasel and in preferences choose your start page or about:blank

Postby dieselbenz on Sat Oct 06, 2007 2:44 am

I don't think so, Tim.

(Anti: might need a Yank to translate that for you.)

I was referring to the idea of being rid of anti's web site forever. In other words, even if antix.freeforus.org isn't the default page, I will still be visiting it.
