How can i calibrate the laptop battery in antiX?

Postby ICE-M on Mon May 04, 2009 1:50 am

I have a dilemma about calibrating the battery. I never calibrated one so i don't really know the procedure. The thing is that every tutorial said that to calibrate the battery a i have to fully charge, fully discharge then fully charge again. The problem that annoys me is at the fully discharge. They say to turn off all the power savings and let it discharge till the laptop turns off. My problem with this is that in antix the laptop turn off at 0% and in a tutorial i read that we shouldn't let the battery discharge to 0%. What is the solution to this? There are 2 0% marks or what ? I have a Lithium battery. Thanks in advance.

When the laptop shuts down there should still be a little power in the battery, not enough to power it though. So, You will probably not hit absolute zero.

It's funny how they say to turn off all power saving and let it shut off and then tell you not to let it get to zero??
