Hi everyone - new user here in the UK. Not new to Linux but new to Antix.

Fantastic OS - light and fast, it's breathed new life into my (otherwise) rubbish old Asus 501. Thanks :)

Cheers :) That spec isn't bad at all - mine's an X501U with 2GB RAM and an AMD C60; quite a bit more sluggish :D I bought it cheap 5 years ago; that'll teach me!! It came with Windows 7; my how it crawled :) Nice and fast now with antiX

Crucial says on ram , but 4 GB should do nicely.

And should you ever replace that 5400 rpm hdd witha SSD, you will be in for a pleasant surprise.

Not being a mind reader yet. But I am working on it.

It is always nice for new members to take out the guess work on our end with a terminal readout of

Code:
inxi -Fxz

Happy Trails, Rok

Edit: My red signature line points to a sticky I made on this forum. But nobody listens to this old scooter tramp anyways. :D
