I was given an old(ish) computer recently and installed antiX-M7.2 (full and base versions) on it. Both are working very well.

PIII 733
256 MB RAM
old ati card

Boot/grub menu to desktop - 50 secs
Most apps open instantaneously or near enough (iceweasel takes a few secs longer)

Edit: In the base version, I installed kde-lite via the smxi script that h2 has adapted for antiX users (a great script and please test it)

and kde opens very fast even when using only 256MB RAM.

Intel Celeron M350 1.3 Ghz
40Gb HD
256 Mb DDR2 RAM
LAtest Antix release
.98 Gb swap
CPU @ 100% according to desktop

Runs great
