Hey, nothing wrong with dillo
If you download html files from the net, then dillo is excellent for viewing them especially on low RAM boxes.
I also use dillo to surf the web sometimes (and links2 -g) when I go to sites with only/mainly text ie this forum.
Back to fluxbuntu.
There has been quite a while from the rc release to anything since. There is very little communication on their forum about what is happening (I don't know about their irc channel).
I feel that fluxbuntu has been hyped by Ubuntu users out of all proportion. Sure an up-to-date fluxbox Ubuntu is a nice addition, but there seem to be big problems getting this to work. Spartacus managed to do it very well IMHO, but that was because it had the Mepis touch as well.
I agree with acidburned about tinyme and PCfluxboxOS. Both are shaping up to be very nice and light distros. Another excellent light distro is Wolvix-cub. The guy who works on that deserves a lot of praise in producing such an excellent distro. Finally, probably the fastest "full" livecd lite distro has to be BeafanatiX, which uses gnome. _________________ Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

Fluxbuntu boots imho slower than Ubuntu with Gnome. It isn´t light really...
I agree anticapitalista that Wolvix (XFCE , Slackware- based) is very usefull. another is Absolute...
TinyMe had some installingproblem(s) with my laptop... _________________ Higgins,

I tried Fluxbuntu and...
None of my usb drives were detected.
The wireless tool was kids weird. It was good that there was a gui and i could see the availible hotspots i could connect to. Apparently i was using ndis wrapper (no choice there not to) and i found that i wasn't connected unless i clicked TEST(!?!).
Didn't like the slow boot.
Didn't have the cool SUX command i like.

Issue the pstree command to a Fluxbuntu as well as to an AntiX terminal and compare the results ...
The last *buntu I installed launched about 120 processes at regular boot - while (my version of) AntiX needs less than 30 to get both of us working ... go figure. _________________ The limits of my code are the limits of my system.

So whatever happened to SaxenOS? The new version is supposed to be a light Mepis (just not at light as antiX).
I see from Stibs' site that a beta is out based on Mepis 7 beta1. Anyone giving it a try?
