Not that I need a new version; the ones I have of AntiX all work fine, but you know this environment - people always holler for the latest and greatest, but then expect it all to work perfectly. Well, based on my experiences, the stuff that Warren puts together is among the most stable stuff around. It seems to me that you have been able to use his solid core stuff, then slim it down, add a few newer components, and come up with many of the same stable features.

You have mentioned sidux and a few other distributions in other discussions. Do you ever intend to master AntiX from any other core besides MEPIS (such as sidux or something really wild and off the wall - like Arch - you know that those guys only start with a base, no X, no desktop environment). A sidux with a smaller footprint and a bit better wireless handling and Live CD handling would be great on the bleeding edge end to complement the great stuff on the stable end of things. Whatever you come up with, whether in the same vein as you've been doing, or you come up with some new twists, I will be looking forward to them!

Hello Brian!

I'm just getting acquainted with the antiX distro and the fine folks here. I recognize some from over at Mepis Lovers and a few from other forums.

Nice work being done here. It's been about 4 years since I've been able to do anything useful with this old PIII 550. The last time I had it up and running I had Vector with fluxbox installed. It's been a blast getting reacquainted with flux.

Glad you are liking AntiX with your old PIII 550.

I, too, am really happy with the developments here. Glad to see my friend anticapitalista is getting a much deserved vacation. Looking forward to more great software after a nice break, refreshed and ready to show us what else he has in store for this effort.

Glad you are fully refreshed - so I take it you had a good time. Great to have you back in action. I am all excited about playing with my future hacked AntiX/Sid/sidux system - installed AntiX to the hard drive in preparation for the next time when I can tweak the repositories, bring in a sidux kernel, etc. Should be a lot of fun!
