Post subject: Defy Tory rule—don’t let Cameron's victory stop you fighting

The general election result was a bitter blow. The rich cheered and the jubilant Tories are gearing up fast for a new class war. They want to drive through the worst of the cuts straight away, hoping voters will forget the pain by the 2020 election.

Millions of people disgusted at five years of Tory austerity and racist scapegoating are asking, “How could they have won?”

David Cameron announced after his re-election. It is possibly one of the scariest statements a Western leader has made in the past century.

What’s more is that media reaction to this utterance has been minimal.

If you guys did have all the video cameras on every street corner in your major cities.
Plus all the fog and rain.
Plus the no guns paranoia thing.
I'd swear I was in Texas.

The white boys have taken over I see.

Welcome to Texas.

Next you will be learning to say ,

"Yall aint from around cheer"

and

"Heee Haaa Cow Paddy"

Though I guess paddy has a different meaning in your neck of the woods.

I missed the fog and rain, and the snow, those years I was in Africa.

Call-me-Dave has already gotten himself a back-bench revolt. I predict major strikes by next winter.

How would you differentiate "major strikes" from, say, run-of-the-mill strikes?
Duration? Percentage of the populace participating?

I was envisioning a national strike, with power cuts thrown in as well, sort of thing, like in the days of Ted Heath.

Besides, Anti promised us a revolution.

I forgot to mention the bonfire on November 5th, in Parliament Square, with all politicians stacked neatly on top.

Anyway, first strike coming up:

I'm retired now Roky, so who cares, and I reckon if Call-me-Dave went to Texas, they'd laugh at him, after all, we all do.

And look what he's done now:

You just can't trust any governments.

We go a little more local in my neck of the woods.

The red neck introducing the bill is Hispanic. Kinda like a gay congressman introducing a anti gay bill.
We have cartoon characters that pack pistols down here.

Giving a serious answer (for a change) I would say they have been running things a long time:

Quote:
"The Pilgrims Society is a cluster of intermarried old-line rich, royals and robber barons who created the world’s financial structure."

A song about "Call me Dave"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT1F0AN9-PE

Doctors researching a cure for Zombie-ism had their funding withdrawn by the government on the grounds that the 30%, or so, still dumb enough to believe in democracy, would stop wasting their time voting.

Anti-austerity protests: tens of thousands rally across UK

Between 70,000 and 150,000 estimated to have marched in central London, with demonstrations in Glasgow, Liverpool and Bristol

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/20/tens-thousands-rally-uk-protest-against-austerity

Quote:
Forty-four days after David Cameron won an unexpected majority in the general election, the opposition parties are still picking themselves up off the floor. On Britain’s streets, however, tens of thousands of people took up their placards and marched in London, Glasgow and elsewhere in the first major protest against the government’s plans for five more years of austerity.

Suck that down Call Me Dave!

Another Victory :!:

Quote:
After four years of intensive campaigning, thanks to supporters like you, G4S has announced it will sell its entire Israeli business!

G4S provides equipment and services to Israeli prisons where Palestinian prisoners are held in violation of international law, often without charge or trial and subject to torture. G4S also provides equipment to Israeli military checkpoints along the illegal Apartheid Wall.

This announcement proves that campaigning works. We'd like to thank every single person who has followed the campaign.

We will continue to pressure G4S until it ends its involvement in abuse entirely!

Sincerely,

All in this together: IDS drops the Tories in the ****

Quote:
The resignation of Iain Duncan Smith exposes the deep divisions within the Tories. Now, writes Duncan Thomas, we need to bring them down.
