Great rokytnji,

Give it a few days hard testing ie adding files, removing files, upgrades etc etc and then if all still works (as it should) then write the tutorial.

wicd and ceni for network connection,

Has GNOME PPP been retained in this edition?

If so, why not add a mention of it right there, in the release notice?

Dial-up GUI's are hardly standard in GNU/Linux distros.

Out of quite a few distros that I have tried, the previous edition of antiX (8.2) has been the only with a dial-up GUI that I have successfully been able to run live on my ten-year old Dell Latitude C600 laptop.

I am eager to order the new version from OSDisc.com but want to first be sure that GNOME PPP or a similarly easy-to-use dial-up GUI is included.

My appreciation to all involved in antiX. Thank you for all your work and dedication.

Yes, Gnome-PPP is there and attached are all the installed packages (I'll talk to anti about putting a link for that - as some other distributions do, BTW - if there ain't one already).

I also added that gppp (dial-up) is included in antiX to the online Release notes.

If the mixer button in Control center > Hardware > Sound Mixer will stay in future versions of antiX then it shoud be set to open not in Roxterm but in some other terminal (Roxterm grabs for itself the Fx keys).

antiX comes with debian-multimedia.org testing repo enabled, right? So the flashplugin-nonfree package could be removed and flashplayer-mozilla (latest one) come in its place.

In ~/.icewm/preferences, the default must be
Code:
MailCommand="iceape -mail"

Also here TerminalCommand="urxvt -tr -sh 65 -fg white" doesn't work,
Code:
TerminalCommand="xterm"

works (for anyone interested this is launched with Ctrl+Enter when the run box - Super+space - is open - can be used to open commands in a terminal too).

The parameter border_margin in .conkyrc is invalid.

There are these ones valid and related:
border_inner_margin
Inner border margin in pixels (the margin between the border and
text).

border_outer_margin
Outer border margin in pixels (the margin between the border and
the edge of the window).

border_width
Border width in pixels.

I may have suggested this already, but just in case I didn't...
I suggest that the browser in an eventual next antiX-base release is set to open the 'containing folder' for downloaded files with ROX. If it's Iceape or Iceweasel it can be done as described at post13477.html?hilit=roxuri#p13477
