lang=sk (Slovak)
lang=sl (Slovenian)
lang=sr (Serbian)
lang=sq (Albanian)
lang=sv (Swedish)

Chinese (lang=cn) and Japanese (lang=ja) will need fonts added after boot for menu to show correctly.

Could testers also try out the meta-installer for kde, lxde, gnome well anything ... ;)

some translations for the control centre (romanian):
Manage Icons = Gestionare Iconite
XWindow = Fereastra X
Disks = Discuri
Adjust Mixer = Ajustare Mixer
Edit System Monitor = Editare Monitor Sistem (i have to think about this, it doesn't seam wright)

i'll test some more to see if i can spot any bugs.

i don't use icewm but i liked john's idea in this post, maybe we should make a poll to see if it should be included in antix's icewm:

Have just started to test, Iceweasel not responding, opens up ok, but not working correctly, can't change preferences, no bookmarks, no search, and can't access the internet. Tried in root, but no errors, just does not respond to any input.If I click on any of the menus, they come up, but do nothing when clicked on.
Yes, I was connected to the Internet, tried dillo, and worked fine.

cheers,

Did you choose to keep the old /home folder?
If so maybe the .mozila folder got messed up.

From the 'original' iceweasel, open it from a terminal and see if there any messages.

anti,

Guess it was just a glitch, I shutdown and rebooted, and restarted the livecd, everything is ok with iceweasel now, I am using a cd-rw disk and that may be the culprit. I am going to burn another disk, a good one and will do my testing from there. Sorry for the false alarm. Will resume testing on the livecd then and will install when I'm done with testing the livecd, then begin testing the install.

cheers,

anticapitalista,

Update, have burned a new cd-r md5sum checks ok, still testing from livecd, really a beautiful release, love the fluxbox, kudos to sleekmason for his contribution.
Have no problems with livecd , all the apps I have run work as they should. The default icewm looks great. Wireless setup was simple, am looking forward to installing and will update on any bugs, if there are any! Congratulations anti, Still lean and mean.

Hi, anti. I'm using the live-cd right now (got no space to install it, though). 'lang=br' worked great at boot time and the keyboard was properly set. There are some things to fix in the menus and I'll post you here a more comprehensive review. For now, there's something I would like to say that I observed in antiX-M8 that maybe should be fixed: the wallpapers are at '~/Wallpaper' and '/usr/share/wallpaper'. Some of the great IceWM themes don't hold their wallpapers unless they're copied from '/usr/share/wallpaper' to '~/Wallpaper'. You now much better, of course, but from my point-of-view, either all the pictures in '/usr/share/wallpaper' should be already in '~/Wallpaper' or, if possible, have just one directory for that.
Regards and I'll follow-up soon.
Sergio.

Anti, if you look forward to keep this theme as a default (which looks good, BTW), the XMMS skin should be changed to 'Titanium' or 'maxXMMS' (the latter is more first-user-friendly since it has more info at what button does what).

Anti, I suggest too that for the Brazilian localisation you default antiX to 'America>Sao Paulo' time (GMT -3h).

First of all, the Control Center:
'Disks' tab should be 'Discos' or 'Armazenamento' (storage)
under 'Área de Trabalho':
where it reads 'Manage Icons' should read 'Gerenciar Ícones'
where it reads 'Alterar Tema gtk2 e Icones' should read 'Alterar Tema gtk2 e Ícones' (note the acute accent in ícones)
under 'Hardware':
where it reads 'Gerenciar Hardwares' should read 'Gerenciar Hardware'
where it reads 'Adjust Mixer' should read 'Ajustar Misturador (de Som)'

Then the toolbar:
'Show Desktop' should be 'Mostrar área de trabalho'
'Favorite applications' translated is 'Aplicações favoritas' but I think it should be 'Menu principal' (Main Menu)

Then the menu itself:
'Settings' is 'Configuração'
'Focus' is 'Foco'
'Click to focus' is 'Clicar para focar'
'Sloppy mouse focus' is 'Foco segue o mouse'
'Custom' is 'Personalizado'
'Themes' is 'Temas'
'Default' is 'Padrão'
'Windows' is 'Janelas'
'Workspace' is 'Área de trabalho'
'Window list' is 'Lista de janelas'
'Run' is 'Executar'
Sistema>'Utilitários' may be 'Ferramentas' to simplify/unify
Sistema>Utilitários(Ferramentas)>'Backup as root' is 'Backup como superusuário'
Sistema>'Meta Installer' is 'Metainstalador'
Área de trabalho>IceWM>'Menu Editor' is 'Editor do menu'
Área de trabalho>IceWM>'Restart IceWM' is 'Reiniciar IceWM'
Escritório>Matemática>'Calculator' is 'Calculadora'
Escritório>Matemática>'Spreadsheet' is 'Planilha'
Rede>'Ligar' is 'Conectar'
Rede>'Mail' is 'Correio'
Rede>'RSS/Atom Reader' is 'Leitor de RSS/Atom'
Multimídia>'Burner' is 'Queimador'
Multimídia>Áudio>'Music Player' is 'Tocador de música'
Multimídia>Áudio>'Music Client' is 'Cliente de música'
Multimídia>Áudio>'Ripper' is 'Ripador'
Multimídia>Áudio>'Mixer' is 'Misturador de som'
Gráficos>'Image Browser' is 'Navegador de imagens'
Gráficos>'Painting' is 'Pintura'
Gráficos>Periféricos>'Scan' is 'Scanear'
Gráficos>Periféricos>'Scan Image' is 'Scanear imagem'
Gráficos>Periféricos>'Camera' is 'Câmera'
Jogos>'Emulators' is 'Emuladores'
'Aplicativos' may be 'Aplicações' to simplify/unify
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>'Ecrã' is 'Tela'
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>'Gestores de Janelas' is 'Gerenciadores de janelas'
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>Aplicações>'Gestão de Dados' may be 'Gestão de dados' (to unify the menu style)
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>Aplicações>'Gestão de Ficheiros' is 'Gestão de arquivos'
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>Aplicações>Rede>'Monitorização' is 'Monitoração'
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>Aplicações>Rede>'Tranferência de Ficheiros' is 'Transferência de arquivos'
Aplicativos(Aplicações)>Aplicações>Sistema>'Monitorização' is 'Monitoração'

I found the following that I don't know if it's a system or a software localisation issue:
hovering the mouse over 'Minimize'(Minimizar), 'Maximize'(Maximizar), 'Restore' (Restaurar)' and 'Close'(Fechar) are untranslated (I see IceWM itself is untranslated but at http://www.icewm.org/ it shows a pt_BR translation is available).
Roxterm's translation for 'password' shows 'palavra passe' while we use 'senha'. Maybe it's an European Portuguese version.

This new test release looks great, I really like the look of icewm and fluxbox, and the control center theme.

I´ve been testing the spanish language version and I came up with a minor point. In control center, under Escritorio, there is the option to Manage Icons and also Cambiar Tema e Iconos. It´s fine if you want to leave the english sentence there, Manage Icons, although it´s inconsistent since you are already using Iconos. It´s a minor point.

This really looks great and is working very well.

Thanks to Anti and all else who helped.

Regards,
Pedro

anti,

Have done an install, to a usb hd, after install on first boot got the following error messages:

^[[33mUpdating fluxbox menu.
Sun May 24 17:00:01 2009: mv: cannot move `/usr/share/fluxbox/menu-install' to `/home/bobbylee/.fluxbox/menu': No such file or directory
Sun May 24 17:00:01 2009: Updating icewm menu.
Sun May 24 17:00:01 2009: mv: cannot move `/usr/share/icewm/menu-install' to `/home/bobbylee/.icewm/menu': No such file or directory
Sun May 24 17:00:01 2009: Updating icewm toolbar.
Sun May 24 17:00:01 2009: mv: cannot move `/usr/share/icewm/toolbar-install' to `/home/bobbylee/.icewm/toolbar': No such file or directory

boot continued normally, logged in and when icewm came up, there were no menus, no menu with right click either, no icons on toolbar, had to ctrl-atl-f1, log in as root, and manually move the above, then restarted slim,
logged in all was normal.

cheers,
oldhoghead

Thanks for the feedback so far. All points noted and necessary changes made.

oldhoghead, that happens when /home is on a separate partition. I'm not quite sure how to fix it so that it will work for both options ie /home on same partition as root or on a separate one.

pedro, that Manage Icons really means Manage/Set Desktop Icons (idesk)
